Email or equivalent for non-realtime communication with clients.
Heather Gardener
I use Doxy both for my private practice and for the work I do through an agency. In both settings, it can be difficult to have secure communication with my clients for the purpose of scheduling or other session-related things. It would be extremely helpful if Doxy had a way of doing this, since it would allow for HIPAA-compliant communication outside of sessions and it would allow me to not have to give out a personal email address.

Non-video option
Katherine Taylor
A non-video, voice only (like a phone call) option?
John Swinnie
Katherine Taylor - You can start an audio only call today on doxy.me. That help article will point you in the right direction. We do plan on adding dial in functionality in the near future when internet services are not available (or reliable). Hopefully the audio only call portion will suffice for the time being.

Please add an option to directly call the patient without the option of sending invitation, some people find it hard to connect through their phone.

SUGGESTION
Genevieve V. Salvato (Jennie) Salvato
Is it possible to dial the phone number when AFTER SENDING THE LINK TO THEIR TEXT AND CLIENT DOES NOT PICK UP? iT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL IF I COULD USE THE APP TO MAKE THE CALL using the clients text number.

Is there a way to make it both video visits like it is, but add a calling feature like doximity, in case they cannot get the video to work as a back up option?

a "nudge" feature
Jana Wilkinson, APRN
If sending the invite via text, a way to call and notify patients to answer text. Many of my patients are asleep on the dialysis machine when I attempt to visit them.
John Swinnie
Jana Wilkinson, APRN - You are sending an invite to join a call via text, and the patients may miss the ringer / vibration or sleep through it. I assume that you are thinking of a doxy.me phone dialer or something that you can use to mask your office or personal number to reach out and wake them up. Is that what you are looking for? If not, could you give me a little more context on the situation and what a resolution would like like for you?
